Attendance Check Out Procedures

  • A valid photo ID must be presented in person to check-out a student.

  • No check-outs over the phone. (We need to verify photo ID)

  • Person checking out a student MUST be on the authorized list. (Students cannot check themselves or others out.)

  • NO CHECK-OUTS AFTER 2:55 PM.

Absence Note Information

Written excuse notes need to include the following:

  • Student name (first and last)

  • Student ID number

  • Date(s) of absence(s)

  • Reason for absence(s)

  • Parent/Guardian Signature

NOTE:

Written excuse notes from home have a 2 day limit upon return to be accepted. (Medical, dental, court, etc. have no time limit for acceptance.)

Tardy Policy

  • 1st Tardy โ€“ Student receives a warning

  • 2nd Tardy -Student receives a lunch detention

  • 3rd Tardy - Student receives a lunch detention

  • 4th and all subsequent Tardies - Student receives a referral

STUDENTS WILL ADHERE TO INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS DEFINITION OF TARDY TO CLASS.

Any student arriving during 1st period after the tardy bell will not be admitted to class without a tardy slip from the attendance office. Any tardy beyond 10 minutes will be referred to the deansโ€™ office for investigation (skipping) and possible punishment based on circumstances. Any tardy under 10 minutes will be properly documented by the teacher with the appropriate consequence given. A tardy to class is defined by a student not being in the door of the classroom when the bell rings.
