Avon Park High School

APHS’s Human Growth and Development class (within the Principles of Teaching Program) had the opportunity to visit Advent Health and see the Project SEARCH students showcasing all of the skills they have been working on over the last 8 months. This program is a school-to-work transition program for students with disabilities focused on developing job skills for the workforce. The students were the best tour guides, showing Mrs. Borden’s students around the different departments and explaining all of the jobs they learned. Mr. Hunter does such a great job working with the students in this program, encouraging them every step of the way!
