This session will take a deep dive into the benefits of participating in Advanced Placement ยฎ (AP) courses. We will provide information that will help students and parents make informed decisions about which academic pathway best supports their college and career goals. We will also review AP Potential on the SAT Suite of Assessments student score report.

On February 29th, APH will be holding an 8th Grade Parent Night for incoming freshmen. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet with administration, counselors, and to see various clubs and classes that are available.

Congratulations to our senior student of the month, Terry Pralo. Terry was honored Thursday at the Avon Park Chamber Luncheon. Terry is a lifetime resident of Avon Park. She is captain of the APHS varsity cheer team and competitive cheer team, reigning Homecoming Queen and president of APH Student Government Association.
After graduation, Terry plans to attend college to become an RN.

APHS will be hosting a 100 years of Accreditation celebration on April 11th at 5pm called Night of 100 Stars. We are working to create a walking timeline of the past 100 years at APHS. If you have pictures or artifacts you would like to share, please use the Google form below to share with us. On Saturday, the APHS Girls Weightlifting Team competed at districts!
As a team, they finished 4th in Olympic and 5th in Traditional! They had a few PRโs and every girl finished way higher than they started this season!

APHS Competitive Cheer Team participated at Nationals and won 1st Place for Traditional, 1st Place for Game Day AND they won Overall Grand Champion!
They have done fantastic this cheer season.

APHS would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Weikert Ford and their Mobile Service team. To show their appreciation for teachers and staff, they provided free on-site oil changes. APHS sends a huge thank you!

Our senior student of the month for January, Taylor Reichert, was recently recognized at the Avon Park Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
Taylor moved to APHS in her 10th grade year from upstate New York. She has been a competitive cheerleader for 13 years and a cheer coach and tumbling instructor for the past year. She is part of the veterinary program at APHS. She is also in her first year as an AFJROTC cadet and officer. She has been accepted to the University of Alabama, where she plans to study psychology to pursue a career in psychiatry, aiding those in the military and supporting Veteran's Affairs.

Attention Senior parent/guardian! FAFSA Night is January 25th @ 5:30 pm in the auditorium. This is an opportunity for your child to apply for free money towards their post-secondary education. Please bring your 2022 tax information, a valid identification, and your FSA ID that you created with your senior.

APHS Competition Cheer Team competed today, and they were on fire!
They placed 2nd out of 16 teams and earned their way STRAIGHT TO STATE FINALS!!!!
