We have AP Exams beginning on Tuesday, May 7th. 5-7 AP Human Geography AP Seminar 5-9 AP Psych - pm only 5-10 AP US History - am only 5-13 AP Pre-Calc - pm only 5-15 AP World AP Computer Science 5-16 AP Spanish AP Bio Here are a few items we all need to know: 8:00am Exams Students Arrive at 7:45am Students should enter the building through the Front Office Meet Mrs. Burnett in the Band Room AP Spanish reports to Marie Wilson in the Media Center on 5-16 12:00pm Exams Students will be released to eat lunch at 11:15am (We may not be able to make school-wide announcements due to testing.) Eat lunch Report to Mrs. Burnett in the Band Room at 12:00pm - AP Seminar, AP Psych, AP Pre-Calc AP CSP & AP Bio report to Ms. Corley's Room at 12:00pm

Join us for the 1st Annual Lake Placid High School Fine Arts Night this Friday, May 3 from 5:00-6:00 pm in the High School Commons. Fine Arts Night will feature an art display showcasing the creativity of LPHS Art students, refreshments prepared by LPHS Culinary students, a performance by the LPHS Concert Band, and a featured performance by the rock band YMD! YMD is comprised of LPHS senior musicians Yasmin Fernandez, Michael Mejia, and Deven Verscheure! Admission is free! Donations to our fine arts programs will be graciously accepted.

While at LPHS I participated in track and field. My favorite teacher from LPHS has been Mr. Gonzalez. A special memory I have is the time when I received my first honor roll certificate. After graduation I plan to go to college to become an architect. Twenty years from now I see myself on a cruise going to Jamaica.

Congratulations to DJ Bullard who is our Florida Lakes Spa/Florida Lakes Surgical Athlete of the Week Winner! DJ is a member of our Boys Track Team. DJ has qualified to compete in 3 events at the FHSAA 2A Regional Finals on Tuesday, May 7th. DJ will be participating in long jump, triple jump, and 110 M hurdles. Congratulations, DJ! 🐉

While at LPHS I participated in AVID and Art Club. My favorite teacher from LPHS has been Mrs. McClellan. A special memory I have is when one of my classes had a free day so everyone made pizza waffles. After graduation I plan to go to South Florida State College and then transfer to Palm Beach Atlantic to become an english teacher. Twenty years from now I see myself hopefully a successful english teacher with a big family.
All 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the ELA FAST Test tomorrow May 2nd. Please be sure Chromebooks are fully charged and you are on time for testing.

Project SEARCH Signing Day 2024 3 LPHS students were selected as interns for AdventHealth Sebring and Project SEARCH for 2024-2025. Project SEARCH has partnered with Advent Health Sebring to provide students with on the job training skills. Congratulations to Logan Dyal, Miracle Jones, Michelle Binzha-Simon!

While at LPHS I did 4 years in journalism and 2 years of SGA. My favorite teacher from LPHS will always be Mr. Smith. A special memory I have is being on the homecoming court as Miss SGA with my best friend Avery as Mr SGA. After graduation I plan to travel the world with my brother and sister in law. Twenty years from now I see myself I see myself living in a house somewhere in the mountains of Tennessee.

My freshman and sophomore years I participated in Volleyball, Flag Football, Weightlifting, SGA, Interact, and class meetings. My junior and senior years I participated in Interact and class meetings. My favorite teachers at LPHS have been Ms. Curry and Mr. Ramirez. A special memory from my time at LPHS will be receiving my AA degree. My plans after graduation are to attend the University of Florida starting in the fall. I will be studying pre-med in order to become a doctor. In twenty years I see myself being very successful in my career as a surgeon as well as having a family.
